just to copy and paste the email that summarized our conversation the first night in sedona:

so we decided on:

1. standing rib roast for the main course. mike will investigate meat hook and mom and dad will investigate savinors
2. some squash dish, probably a soup maybe with goat cheese. everyone to look for recipes
3. mushroom dish. dave and nat to talk to their mushroom guy. everyone to look for recipes.
4. some simple green bean/cherry tomato blanch/saute/roast dish. whole foods should suffice for these guys.
5. pavlova
6. ice cream. flavor suggestions?
7. wine.
